Your powerful system for professional media playout
You need a media server if you want to use multiple output devices or media at an event. It bundles a wide variety of media types, inputs, and outputs into one multimedia show in one system.
In this way, a media server expands the possibilities of creative work and can be used in numerous applications and industries.
Our FXServer is a media server that can provide up to 16 outputs in a single system. At the same time, it remains easy to use. Its components are optimally matched - with tested and guaranteed performance.
For professional use, the FXServer offers essential features such as EDID management, multi-monitor configuration, output to SDI and certified input cards for extremely low latency live video.
You can configure your FXServer individually as a 19" rack mount unit. On request, we can also manufacture the media server on a Mac and Linux basis. Even after commissioning, the FXServer is still flexibly adaptable and expandable.

Hardware Features
Everything from one system
Your media is controlled from a single system.
With MXWendler, in almost all cases you only need a single system - our FXServer.
Of course, it is possible to realize many outputs by networking several computers, but such approaches are often error-prone in practice and limit creativity.
Our concept is therefore to store, control and feed all media in one system. For example, if you want to use a camera or receive new media, you revise it on just one device.
Another important advantage is that you only have to maintain and service one system. If redundancies are required, you also only need to provide one additional system.
Up to 16 outputs
From small to large: You can configure your FXServer with 4 up to 16 outputs.
The FXServer allows up to 16 outputs on a single device - with unchanged strong and stable performance.
This allows you to use a variety of projectors, LED screens and other displays in your production. This opens up new possibilities for story telling.
Multi-monitor configuration
With monitors, displays, and projectors, translate video performance into stage design.
Managing up to 16 outputs is a real challenge. Our FXServer has the appropriate tools to keep the configuration of your monitors under control in a user-friendly way at a glance.
It is often very cumbersome to arrange projectors and other output devices to match the artistic intent and design of the stage set. This includes, for example, projection angles, shading and cable paths. With FXServer's multi-monitor configuration, such problems can be circumvented, creating an intuitive video workflow for the entire production team.
All connections in one place
With your FXServer, you have all connections directly on the front of the panel.
We attach great importance to making the direct operation of the media server easy and safe for you. For this purpose, all our media servers have the connections integrated on the front panel, which is individually configured for you.
All connections are easily accessible and separated from the technology behind them. This prevents damage to the sensitive electronic components, even in robust tour operation.
Physical EDID Management
Your output setup remains secure with FXServer.
Managing many monitors can be a source of problems when the environment or the number of outputs changes. For example, it is a regular occurrence in productions that the stage set or installation is rescheduled on an ad-hoc basis. In addition, the configuration can also change due to connectivity issues.
Our FXServer's unique physical EDID management ensures that your configuration remains stable as outputs are added or disconnected. Video connections are designed via a specially developed system so that they can be interrupted without disturbing the monitor configuration. An important feature for reliable multi-monitor use.
Low Latency Live Video
Your live videos are played out in the FXServer via certified input cards with extremely low latencies.
Only certified input cards are installed in the FXServer, which ensure extremely low latencies for live videos, for example. You can assemble the required cards for SDI, FBAS, DVI or HDMI individually.
In addition, the certification means less configuration effort and more operational reliability.
Multi-channel audio via ASIO
With the FXServer you can create individual audio backdrops of any kind.
You can route your sound to different channels via the FXServer, allowing you to create multi-channel and surround sound installations. FXServer supports up to 64 audio channels, and each audio track can be individually assigned to an output audio channel.
With a multi-channel audio interface, direct, low-latency communication is possible between the media server and the sound hardware or Dante.
Software Features
System openness
Install all the tools you need to work flexibly with the FXServer media server.
FXServer is an open designed Windows, OSX or Linux system where you can freely install your own tools and utilities, e.g. video engines, communication tools and of course all digital content creation programs.
StageDesigner-FX Software
Our StageDesigner-FX is optimally matched to the FXServer.
The FXServer software is optimized for extra large outputs and extra large media: The multi-monitor module gives you an intuitive workflow from digital content creation to perfectly set-up projection.
Thanks to DGMA (Direct Graphics Memory Access), certified live capture cards are directly connected to the graphics card, allowing the GPU to directly access the memory of the capture cards. This enables extremely low latencies.
In terms of user interface and operating concept, the two software versions "StageDesigner-FX" and "StageDesigner" are identical. The file formats are also interchangeable. This means that the shows can also be prepared on another system or, if required, go on the road.
