130 years of Hamburg Dom

We worked with artist Julian Hölscher to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Hamburg Dom and to add a colorful light spectacle of video projections to the winter folk festival on the Heiligengeistfeld. Those responsible for the cathedral approached us with the idea and within a few weeks we had planned the project and our operators on site in Hamburg had implemented it. The background to this was the city of Hamburg's wish to reduce the number of fireworks this year and we are delighted to have found a spectacular alternative with our video projections that satisfied everyone involved.

 

 

SOLUTION

After the client approached us with their ideas, the first step was to find a suitable artist for the required content and start planning the technical components. After coordinating the content with the artist Julian Hölscher, the areas to be used were measured and the planning of the hardware, media servers and projectors began.

Six projectors with 30,000 lumens each were used, which were controlled and played via our media servers. Of course, our StageDesigner software was also used for the show, with which our operators planned, created and executed the show on site.

In the end, everyone involved was satisfied and the visitors to the Winterdom Volksfest were amazed at the colorful projections, which could be admired on 3 days from 18:00 to 23:30.
