Rooms, facades, trade fairs
Installations, shows and productions that run on FXServer and StageDesigner. The numbers come from the projects: servers, projectors, surfaces, running times.
Wall, ceiling and floor as one image

The Lighthouse of Digital Art
Around 100 m² of former industrial hall, floor and walls covered. 5 synchronised FXServers, 8 Datapath FX4, 40 projectors, 40 outputs. Soft edge, keystone and black level join the surfaces; the servers sit in a separate room. 5 to 10 hours daily, automated. Works by Desilence, Tatiana Halbach and Søren Christensen.

Room projection
Wall and floor projection merge into a walk-in image space. Op-art sequence in continuous operation on a schedule.

Projection onto partitions
Exhibition architecture as projection surface: walls and free-standing elements from one system, masks cut out the passages.

Facades on a schedule, since 2012
MXWendler has been technical partner of the Genius Loci Weimar Festival since 2012: every September, historic places of the city become projection surfaces for international audiovisual works. The shows run several times per evening, the projectors are switched through the playlist.

130 years of Hamburger Dom
Projection onto the flak tower as an alternative to fireworks, content by Julian Hölscher. 2 FXServers, 6 projectors of 30,000 lumens each, three evenings from 18:00 to 23:30. Planned in a few weeks, run on site by our operators.

Bauhaus goes AI
Facade of the Bauhaus Museum, more than 50 entries from around the world, three winners. 3 FXServers, keystone and playlist in StageDesigner, projectors switched automatically every day.

Zoetropolis, Gauforum
14 projectors from a single FXServer system, a work by mammasONica. The largest outdoor projection MXWendler has realised so far.

Venues, brands and store fitting

Rover Show Leipzig
Presentation of a new model: FXServer with three Full HD outputs, mapping in StageDesigner onto the vehicle surface.

REWE store Munich
Pilot project for automated, time-scheduled product presentation in a supermarket. Content changes automatically on a schedule.
Biennale pavilion, UNStudio
Controllable LED lighting for the pavilion of the Amsterdam architecture firm UNStudio, equipment by MXWendler and Zumtobel. The FXServer drove the Capix light chains over Art-Net with a lossless codec developed for the project. Light animation "Sequences" by Florian Licht.
60Hz Club, sound-to-light
260 bulbs on the ceiling, 7 DMX dimmers, StageDesigner on an Intel NUC, two projectors for VJing. The equalizer drives the movement of the light through expressions: a convincing atmosphere with no more than 20 DMX channels.
BHT Berlin and HTWK Leipzig
FXServers in teaching since the winter semester 2021/22: event technology, media technology and control, student projects. Educational institutions receive discounts on licences.
Twenty years on stage
FXServer and StageDesigner have been in use in theatres and opera houses since 2006. For rehearsals and documentation we now build the Tourette Stage Recorder.
